Week 5 Healthy Habit Challenge – Drive Less!
I can’t believe we are half way through the “10 Steps to Change ” Healthy Habit Challenge! Hopefully by now everyone has been stepping up their game with some new, healthy lifestyle habits such as:
Week 1 – Adding strength and resistance training to your fitness routine by doing push ups.
Week 2 – Eating more servings of vegetables per day, thereby increasing your daily fiber, mineral and vitamin intake.
Week 3 – Managing stress both physical and mental by adding or instituting a yoga practice into your week or trying a different style of yoga.
Week 4 – Enjoying the many physical benefits of being properly hydrated by trying to drink 8 cups of water per day.
This week, we challenge you to leave your car at home for at least one trip that you would otherwise use it for and instead, walk or ride your bike! Aside from all the environmental and economic benefits of driving less, you will burn more calories and get some fresh air, both of which contribute to a healthy lifestyle!
