Are you getting 150 minutes of cardiovascular based exercise each week? Over 60 people in our Eastside Fitness community have decided to find out.  This is not an “epic” challenge.  Rather it is an accountability challenge because whether we like it or not, we are each accountable for our own health.  Experts in the health and fitness industry have interpreted studies such as these and have determined that 150 minutes of moderate cardio vascular activity per week is the MINIMUM required to reduce the risks of heart and lung diseases.

Congratulations to all of our participants!   We are on week 3 of this 7 week challenge.  Of course the hope is that we will continue this practice throughout the year.

All types of steady, continuous cardio vascular activity count:

Walking, running, cross country skiing, dancing, swimming, rowing, cycling, hiking, aerobics, soccer, basketball, field hockey, tennis….
