What is the Funtional Movement System Screen?

The Functional Movement System (FMS) screen is comprised of seven movement tests that require combinations of balance, mobility, and stability. Performing these movements can point to various asymmetries, imbalances, limitations, and weaknesses.  It is not a test of athletic performance!  In fact, many highly trained, competitive athletes could score poorly on the tests!  However, over time, dysfunctional movement patterns could lead to injuries and/or could limit the amount or type of physical activity a person can do.

Why take the FMS Screen?

The FMS is one tool that can  be used in a pre-participation fitness test for personal training clients.  You and your trainer can use the information from the screen, along with other information, to help direct your exercise programming.

What is Mid-Day Personal Training?

We are also offering a Mid-Day Personal Training Special for those who are interested and available to do personal training between the hours of 12pm-3pm, Monday to Friday.

  • 10 x 55 min personal training sessions for $495 (reg $550) or 10 x 55 min small group training $600 (reg $700)
